LOVING KINDNESS MEDITATION

As part of my Meditation Teacher Training, I had to make a video teaching for at least 20 minutes, and I was scared about it because I don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera nor speaking in English for 20 minutes straight.

But for my surprise, after only two shots, I was able to film the entire thing very easily and I am so happy with the result that I thought that could be a good post.

I have to warn you that maybe I made up some words or used others in the wrong way but please be nice with me, at the end we are talking about love and kindness, am I right?

The practice that I'm sharing with you is from the Buddhist tradition, the Loving Kindness or Metta Meditation. This meditation is all about extending thoughts and feelings of love, kindness, and compassion to ourselves and the people around us.

It’s a very simple practice but also a very powerful one that can be practiced anytime, anywhere but it’s a perfect practice to do in the mornings, so we can start our day developing positive emotions.

I hope that you enjoy this video, and please share it with someone that needs a little love in his or her life.

Happy Valentine’s Day.

With love,

Gaby
