Lately I’m paying more attention at the products that I put on my body and trying to use natural products as much as possible. In that searching I found the Holy Grail of natural products: Coconut Oil!

In the last year I was capable to replace 7 different products of my cabinet with 1 big bottle of Coconut Oil. I personally prefer the raw version because is cold pressed, and like food, less processing the product, the higher quality and the more properties it retains.

Here are the 7 ways that I use Coconut Oil in my beauty routine:

1. Face & Body Moisturizer: After shower, apply Coconut Oil all over your body. It will hydrate the skin, it absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and smells AMAZING!

2. Makeup Remover: Rub Coconut Oil gently from your face and ripe off with a cotton pad. Even waterproof mascaras are easy to remove with Coconut Oil, and without irritating your eyes.

3. Hair Texturizer & Leave-in Conditioner: Warm a small amount of Coconut Oil in the palms of your hands, and apply the oil in the hair, starting at the ends. If you tend to have greasy hair, avoid the roots.

4. Shaving Cream: Warm the oil in the palm of your hands and apply on your legs, under arms or bikini area and then shave like usual. Coconut Oil works as a shaving cream and moisturizer at the same time.

5. Exfoliator: Combined with sugar, Coconut Oil can be a homemade body and face scrub. Apply the mix gently and remove with warm water for smooth skin.

6. Massage Oil: Melt Coconut Oil at very low heat, add your favorite essential oil (I love Lavender), and you have your new front-runner massage oil.

7. Wrinkle reducer: Alone or combined with frankincense oil, you can apply Coconut Oil around the eyes to help fight pre-mature aging.

Coconut oil is very versatile and can be use in many other areas. In a future post I will be writing about how to use it around the house. Are you a Coconut Oil crazy lady like me?

With love,

Gaby
